The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme e-learning package is designed to help individuals and organisations prepare for the introduction of the PVG Scheme. It consists of 10 modules, each of which can be studied separately. Some modules will be more relevant to individuals who will become PVG Scheme members and others to the organisations who offer them regulated work.
Each module consists of a series of pages that set out information about the PVG Scheme, including case studies and examples, followed by a number of multiple choice questions. There is no pass or fail and results are reported. The questions are designed to help the user test their own understanding of the PVG Scheme, what it is and how it works. Where an incorrect answer is given, the results explain what the correct answer is and why.
Each module gives an indication of how long it will take to work through on the introductory page. The modules broadly follow the structure of the Guidance for Individuals, Organisations and Personal Employers on the PVG Scheme available online here published in June 2010, which should be referred to for further detail.
